Ah cool.
My post in Rubang's old thread no longer shows images (they were all in my VGC album) so I guess i'll try organise them here, see if I can remember the time periods correctly.

Joined: 26th April 2007, didn't post much for a couple of months, and according to my post in Rubang's thread I didn't have an avatar till mid-late July.
1. Bitey of Brackenwood (July 2007 to November 2007)... Visit "bitey.com/category/animation/brackenwood/" to watch the awesome flash animations. (for some reason VGC won't let me create a link without it shoving gamrconnect.vgchartz.com in front of it, so you'll have to copypasta the text between the quotes)
2. Sonic the Hedgehog (late Nov 2007 to early Dec 2007)
3. Link + Navi (mid-late December 2007)
4. Blackadder the Third [played by Rowan Atkinson, aka Mr. Bean to you Americans] (January 2008)
5. Pious Augustus [from Eternal Darkness] (early to mid February 2008)... Only had it about 2 weeks as people didn't seem to like me having a scary avatar after Blackadder.
6. Larry Lion (late February to 25th April 2008)... My very first Larry Lion, though I didn't decide to call him that till late April when I started going online in Mario Kart Wii.
7. Larry Lion: VGC birthday edition (26th April 2008 to 14th May 2008)... My first editing of Larry, to include some balloons to celebrate my first VGC birthday.
8. Larry Lion: 21st birthday edition (15th May 2008 to end of May)... Celebrating my own birthday.
9. Larry Lion (June 2008 to late July 2008)... Reverted back to the original Larry Lion. (see above)
10. Mighty Boosh (late July 2008 to late August 2008)
11. Larry Lion (late August 2008 to November 2008)... Back again to Larry Lion with a plain white background. (see above)
12. Larry Lion: Christmas edition (December 2008)... Getting a bit more adventurous with my editing.
13. Larry Lion: Sunny edition (January 2009 to March 2009)... Spiced up the basic Larry Lion so it doesn't have a dull background.
14. Larry Lion: Majora's Mask edition (April 2009 up to 26th April)... This is when I first started editing to reflect games I was playing, anticipating, or liked.
15. Larry Lion: VGC birthday edition (April 26th 2009 to late May 2009)... Celebrated my 2nd VGC birthday. (see above for image)
16. Larry Lion: Majora's Mask edition (late May 2009 to mid July 2009)... Reverted back to Majora's Mask. (see above)
17. Larry Lion: The Conduit edition (mid July 2009 to September 2009)
18. Larry Lion: Pikmin edition (October 2009 to November 2009)... Despite never playing a Pikmin game.
19. Larry Lion: Christmas edition (December 2009)... Back again to the Christmas Lion (see above for image)
20. Larry Lion: Endless Ocean edition (January 2010 to April 2010)... Woot Endless Ocean 2! The eye mask and snorkel, and the cartoon fish are just from google image searches, I drew the oxegen mask and tank myself.
21. Larry Lion: Mario Galaxy edition (May 2010 to early February 2011)... My longest running avatar, mainly because during that period I didn't visit VGC very much. It's my least favourite of my Larry Lion edits.
22. Larry Lion: Metroid edition (mid February 2011 to June 2011)... My second longest running avatar slot, (again due to my lessened VGC activity) but third in terms of overall time after the original blank Larry Lion which had three seperate periods of being my avatar.
23. Stirling Archer (July 2011 to early October 2011)... Took a break from almost 3 years straight of Larry Lion to show my love for an awesome cartoon I found.
24. Stirling Archer: Pirate King! (October 2011)... Celebrating the brief 3 part introduction to Archer series 3.
25. Misfits (November 2011)... Celebrating the new 3rd series of Misfits, even if the pic and quote is from series 1, also my shortest running avatar, only had it about 4-5 days.
26. Larry Lion: Skyward Sword edition (November 2011 to early December 2011)... I redrew the entire Larry Lion in different layers in Photoshop to make it easier to edit new ideas before creating a Link Larry with a painty effect.
27. Larry Lion: Christmas edition (mid December 2011 to the end of December)... 3rd return of my Christmas Larry. I was going to make a new one with my new template but couldn't be bothered. (see above for image)
28. Larry Lion: F-Zero edition (January 2012)... Don't know if anyone noticed, but I drew a Captain Falcon frowny mouth and chin crease on.
29. Larry Lion: Half-Life edition (February 2012)... My current avatar, and the first one to depict a video game that has nothing to do with Nintendo. I realised afterwards that the shadow I created on the wall doesn't make sense (I have made shadows like that before to work on floor surfaces, but forgot to bend it for the wall) but I can't be bothered editing it.

EDIT: (adding further new ones to this post)
30. Larry Lion: Sonic the Hedgehog edition (March 2012)... Yellow and orange feline Sonic. I pixelised it before I uploaded it to make it look like an old game (and for Larry to match the already pixelised Green Hill Zone background) but it's not really noticable in the ones on VGC.
31. Larry Lion: No More Heroes edition (April 2012)...Not quite as pleased with this one as my latest few, I think it relies too much on the background (poster and wrestling masks) to determine it as Travis, but also masks a bit too much of Larry's identity. However it works ok, and I got the wall shadow correct unlike my Half-Life one.
