First I want to say y'all cray thinking virtual Console is expensive. For someone who grew up in the Gamecube era these games are a steal. The classics are so repayable and I play them as much as I play my wii games. I have so much playtime in this console it crazy. I have about over 2000 hours and still going strong. Its my most played system ever and favorite. Games like Smash bros brawl,Mario bros wii and Goldeneye (ok Monster hunter and punch out too) gave me 100's hours of playtime alone. The only problem is that the wii missed a shot with motion plus games. Could've been more oh well

Is that 2000 hours just on the Virtual Console? If so then dayum.

I would say compared to he experiences you can get online for free, or even some WiiWare games, NES, SNES and MegaDrive games are a bit pricey... there probably should have been a more variable scale (I mean 500pts for PacMan!?) as well as discounts either after a period of time, or perhaps at the choice of whichever company owns the rights.

And if the 2000 hours is total time, then I can trump that as I passed 4000 hours in November. That includes channel use like the internet channel though... but doesn't include GameCube games. If I take out all the Wii channel use, and add in an estimation for GC (around 200h) it's probably just over 3000 hours.

The 2000 hours is just a estimate between 2008-2010 I have yet do the rest of 2010 and 2011.

I actually bought Donkey Kong for $5 which is just 3 levels over and over again. I manage to play that for 5 hours. I made the most out of that one. Though to be fair the games that are super short(pac man) are very pricy compared to something like mario bros. Though Super Mario bros is probably  underpriced if you asked me. Though I do like the idea of discounts.

3000 hours. Out of all the months I got from March 3008 to January 2011 I got 2,262. Not counting Wii channels or Gamecube titles. Which I don't have a idea on how I can estimate that one. With a average of 750 hours per 11 months(March to  February) with 2011 missing 11 months lol

Oh you're a time traveller... well that's cheating

Assuming you meant March 2008 though means you probably play a bit more than me, (as I got my Wii in Feb 2007) Adding up my game time (Wii, WiiWare and VC) from the beginning of March 2008 to the end of January 2011 gives 2105 hours.
My GameCube time during that period was also lessened, as I think I spent about 120-140 hours on GC games during 2007, and then in summer 2011 I played through OoT and WindWaker, probably totting up 80-100 hours. I think in the 2008-2010 period I probably spent maybe 40-50 hours on GC games (so I underestimated a little in my previous post)

I assume by the way from your accurate number of hours for March 08 through Jan 10 that you have counted up your hours using the Wii message board like I have (though I am only missing December 2011)
