Vote: Prof

not for your gambit but foy your thinking that not discussing who should be investigated can really help the town

Im actually with Prof on this one,  talking about who we should have the cop investigate would just be a blueprint for the mafia to follow on who they need to kill.

a few things

1. what if we have him investigate scum?

2. what about a doc?

3. so would if be better to just let the scum pick who they want to investigate since the towns votes are likely to be scattered while the mafia vote can be united?

4. We could even come down to 2 people we think should be voted for.

5 glad to see you  finally made it.

1. What if we have him investigate town,  when his personal choice actually ends up scum?

2. You are assuming we have one, and what if he is who gets investigated.....  Most times a doctor can't protect themselves

3. Maybe I am being naive about this,  but why are you assuming that the Mafia can vote?   Cause I see no reason to assume this.

4.Dont do this already with normal discussions,  its part of our job as town to limit the field for the cop to have worthy investigations.

5. Thank you,  I will still never understand why we continue to start on a weekend..........

1. From the rules in the OP the only time the cop gets a choice is when it would be to break a tie.

2. Those are things known only by the mod and possibly by a doc. The possibility of a doc getting investigated doesn't increase if there is discussion.

3. from the OP note the bolded. Although we don't know for sure I think it would be foolish to assume they don't.

Night Investigation Vote:

- You are allowed to not cast a vote. If you don't want to vote, write my a PM stating that.
- A Draw will give the investigator the posibility to choose his target freely, between the persons who got the most votes
- You are not allowed to cast your vote publically, you have to PM me for it to take effect
- You are not allowed to misuse the mechanic behind it, you may ask for people to vote for a person, but not force them
- You are not allowed to force anyone to claim who they nighttime voted for
- Missusing the nighttime investigation vote may result in losing the ability to vote, the investigator losing his investigative Ability or Mafia manipulating the vote completely

General rules of VGC Mafia also apply to this game.

4. It's a little different in the sence that we as a town control who gets investigated. So it would not just be our job to limit the field but to ultimatly decide. I brough up 2 since that means scum would have even more difficulty takeing out the one who gets investigated.

5. Try modding sometime the initial startup of the game can take a very long time so the games start when the mod can put all the time in. For most people that's a weekend.

1. The point still stands though, if a cop wanted to investigate someone, who eventually turns up mafia, but everyone votes to investigate someone else who turns up town.  You proposed a what if situation,  I did as well just the opposite, scenario.  What ifs arent a good thing to base this on.

2. Never said it would,  ws just making the point that if he was who we asked to have investigated, chances are we lose him right away.

3. Well I cant say I am happy to read that.  But I now have to agree that it is safe to assume that.  Unfortunately now it seems we have to collaborate on who to send votes for, as the Mafia would have possibly 3 votes.  they can swing the vote in any direction they want......   nothing like being handcuffed by the rules.....

4. I guess.....  All that really is changing is we just have to focus, and now document in game, on 2 candidates other than the one that gets lynched......  If we go with the 2 choices method.

5. I barely have enough time to play the game.  But your statement would have more validity if the games started on Sunday or Monday,  But this game started on Friday, before the weekend......
