Yeah its not as good but at least there's some:

- Rise Against
- Linkin Park
- Pearl Jam
- Foo Fighters (Thank God Cobain killed himself so Grohl could go make this amazing band!)
- Blink 182
- Airbourne
- Cage The Elephant
- JET
- A Day To Remember
- Lupe Fiasco (best rapper of today)
- Mumford and Sons

But yeah I do agree the best music was pre 2000...I'd even say pre 1990. Boston, The Clash, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Tragically Hip, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, etc.

Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Linkin Park are all from the 90s...  While they are making music still they probably aren't on the top of their game.  I enjoyed Foo Fighters first 2 cds but it seems like they even went down hill.  Most bands from the 90s (311, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, etc..) went soft and I am not talking about the good soft which is in a lot of classic rock (basically most bands from the 90s that are still around have shown a drop in their quality).

Linkin Park is 2000's. Hybrid Theory was 2000 and Meteora was 2003.

Blink 182's best stuff was late 90's, I grant you that, but "Take off your pants and jacket" was 2001, plus I thought Neighbourhoods (this year) was good.

I do admit Pearl Jam was better in the 90's but they are still putting out good quality music. Backspacer was really good (although obviously not as good as Ten)

And the Foo Fighters are great still, they've put out some of their best stuff in the 2000's. I'd argue that In Your Honor (2005) is as good as their 90's stuff like The Color and the Shape. Plus they haven't gotten soft at all, Wasting Light is as hard rock as their 90's stuff.

So you're right, besides LP who are entirely 2000s, the other 3 bands best stuff was in the 90's, but they are all still active and putting out quality stuff today, especially Foo Fighters.
