Why pray in the first place?

Religion is there to control people and make them fear their actions, religious people are apparently so afraid of dying they NEED to believe there is something after life.

Religion is bullshit, it's a faerie tale.. I am so glad we found out about this in Western Europe so we could get on to real issues such as gun control, health care and education.

The church sold spots for heaven to murderers and torturers for money, they let you confess your sins and if you make a nice deposit your sins are forgiven, priests are molesting little boys all over the world.

 

Religion is nothing... not even your high priests believe in god because surely that would stop them from molesting children.

The biggest mistake you're making in your anti-religious shenanigans is you are lumping virtually ALL religions into one.

If you're a true christian you realize its not about "being religious" it's about accepting Jesus into you're heart to become saved and loving on others.

 

Think about it this way. We can't disprove or prove God is real but if you're right and there is no God, Heaven and Hell than no harm no foul for me seeing as I lived a good life. But if you're wrong and there is a God, Heaven and Hell....well you know the consequences if you are wrong.

You're right God does love you but he gave humans the right to choose so the choice is yours. 

Giving people a choice? He threatens non-believers with eternal life in hell
