When company enjoys success for few years they tend to end in "We are invincible and consumer will love us whatever we do" mode.

Not necessarily. Nintendo's aware of the 3DS' slow start, for one, and Iwata acknowledged that it was a mistake, so likely one they'll rectify for Wii U (by actually having a killer app at or much closer to launch)

How many times have they said that they are aware they don't give core gamers attention they deserve and games will soon be coming ?

Because hardware sales are much more material than the capricious support of the hardcore?
