Vita hands down.

Gilga, you are really not worried about downgraded high profile game franchiases from the PS3? Sony needs to get a lot more games like Patapon or Locorocco etc. with good advertisement and a more global appeal in whacky ass games for it to sell to the masses, I mean a ton more, and from 3rd parties as well, they don't have the same image that Nintendo has already built, and what if Capcom and Nintendo do have an agreement on Monster Hunter down the road, 3DS is perfectly capable of a good Monster Hunter game now unlike the DS, what happens to Japan then? Sony has a lot of hurdles to overcome.

I don't understand this only console IP on PSV mentality...it's just rediculous..it's almost as if no one has even seen the line up of games for the device >_>

I'm obviously aware of what they have, but if they want to stand above Nintendo, they have a lot of reimage to do. Looking at how well something like Brain Age sold is borderline ridiculous, it's not graphics intensive, not super whacky, it's just a straight up...... global game, Nintendo is just better at making global mass appeal games than Sony ATM. People want to play something like Uncharted or Call of Duty on a big ass screen with good stereo and huge explosions offering orgasms to your eyes, that's not something a 5 inch screen can offer, so they need more portable games that can drag people in, and that's the real hard part considering only Japan is really buying the PSP right now.

your comment was about psv getting games like patapon and locoroco from the start, and that concern is moot looking at the line up. I suggest going and looking at the line up again. Quite a lot of the games revealed so far are new IP's which have been made specifically to take advantage of the portable. and of those there are already few games that are offer unique offerings that even 3ds has been unabled to do so even after all these months. Will they be successful? who knows but they look to be top quality games.

and you are quite wrong about uncharted and cod, maybe not all people, including you won't like it. But I would love to have such as experience on the go. if you don't like it it just means you are not the target market, simple as that. But again I recommend you checking the official thread or something, it has quite a few unique offerings already.

about the image, it's a matter of marketing really and having a good price point for the masses to enter. atm price point is not there for both systems. marketing, we will just have to see. I say this because psp had a lot of unique offerings on it as well, people either don't know of them or ignore them to benefit the argument.

duh, "with good advertisement and a more global appeal in whacky ass games for it to sell to the masses" is under there somewhere, don't just nit-picking sentences, read the whole paragraph and know what I'm trying to say. Patapon and Locorocco type games are good fun games imo but they are whacky as hell. Nintendo is fucking dumb to try to rely on 3rd party during launch anyways, the problem the VIta will have to face is that the 3DS was in fact out earlier, so there will be more completed games vs PSV at the same time frame and quiet a lot more due to the DS being successful in the previous handheld gen. I think the price of the PSV is good, they need to change a lot of their marketing strats though, they really suck at it.

Once again, I know what games the PSV will have, I do have Sony products ya know? I'm just analyzing on what difficulties it might have to it's competitor who's been quite a lot stronger in the same market. It's not like I'm bashing it lol. I'm just worried, and I think I'm worried with valid reasons.

and you are missing what I'm saying as well. I'm telling you that so far that's exactly what sony has done, there are plenty of unique portable games already in the lineup for psv, even more so than 3ds imho. I was saying marketing and price are the only two other factors left. one of which is def not mass market appeal pricing and the other too early to worry about. If we see marcus add-esque stuff again then we have something worry about. Sony have done really well so far with psv, almost flawless that it's scary coming from them. let's see how they handle marketing in the future

ps: to add I think  3ds will def sell more than psv....but it will be much much closer than last gen :)

I think marketing is what they have to work on the most, if it's anything like they've been doing for the past few years then it'd be no good like you said with the whole dumb ass black kid thing. We won't really know how they'll market Vita until about release though, they need to work pretty damn hard on that at the start of the life cycle. The generally public image is very different to people who are not gamers like us and also knowledge base on avaliable games etc. There are way more female users with Nintendo products too when it comes to video games and that's one thing Sony has to address in the future imo.
