Great news for fighting fans and pirates everywhere.

Right at this moment, thousands of PC gamers are playing a meta-game across 13 indie titles, trying to get Portal 2 released early- http://www.aperturescience.com/a/b/c/d/g/h/abcdgh/

... and thousands of XBox and PS3 pirates are torrenting Portal 2, just like they already did with SSFIV and just like they've done with many games before- with the advent of Steamworks, often before the street date, and before the PC cracked version gets released as well.

Piracy crosses many platforms and has done ever since the first tape and disc-based games were released. I remember old C90 tapes being passed around at school, filled with dozens of Spectrum, C64 and Atari 800 games, similarly with floppies of Atari ST and Amiga games when I was at university. When I started work after my PhD, there was a ring of half a dozen PS1 owners who regularly pirated games and swapped them with each other, same with the PS2 and original XBox. Hell, even my uncle asked me how to get hold of XBox games after he'd had his console chipped. More recently, the iPhone, PSP and DS 'boast' enormous piracy rates.

This stupid meme and ignorant, snippy comments that piracy only happens on the PC needs to die and die soon. It's simply tedious and moronic trolling.
