I'd stay away from most games based off PS3 franchises (LBP, Motorstorm, Resistance ect). In my opinion they're just vastly inferior versions of their PS3 counterparts with God of War being the only exception (I haven't played Peace Walker though so can't comment there).
VC2, Tactics Ogre, FFT: War of the Lions and Disgaea are all fantastic games and work very well on a portable system.
Pixel Junk Monsters is great fun too and can be very challenging!
