As others have said it is complete without the DLC but the DLC does have some pretty intersting stuff in it that deepens the story ALOT. If you do get them YOU HAVE TO PLAY THEM IN ORDER. This isn't just add ons, they are litteraly the next chapters of the story.
And don't listen to what reviews say about Wake at all. When I get to the ending of that game my jaw litteraly hit the floor.
