As the subject ask, is Alan Wake ending a reasonable conclusion without the purchase of the DLC?

I'm not a big fan of DLC in general and have no intention of getting any unless i REALLY love the game.

I do not REALLY love Alan Wake, it looks like a decent game and since I am an avid collector and can be obtain it for fairly cheap with free shipping, I thought I'd give it a try.

My only problem is the ending, I've heard several reviews decribe the ending as 'lacking' and then later I heard that the DLC are actually happening after the of the game and 'concludes it' in preperation for the sequal (if one becomes availible).

Sooo.... If I have no intention of ever getting the 2 dlc, should I still be able to tolerate the on-disk ending? Please bear in mind that this is a pretty important criteria, if the ending was absolutely bullshit like Kane & Lynch 2 for example, or like Prince of Persia where the 'true' ending can only be obtain through a DLC (screw you epilogue!) then I don't feel like bothering with this game

Thanks people!
