Still a whole lot cheaper than an iPhone (they cost twice as much as that unlocked) and people seem to think that that is most affordable. Same goes for an iPad. Yes, I know, neither the iPhone nor the iPad are handheld consoles per say but they compete in the same gaming market so 300$ is certainly not overpriced imo.
