I'm sure since the game is also on Xbox360 the full game doesn't need anywhere near 50GB, so why not just place the installed files directly on the disc without compression? The reason it's installed on the HDD is not because it can't fit on the disc, it's because HDD are exponentialy faster then optical drives, and what better way to eliminate load times than to have all critical data stream from the fastest storage device in this case the HDD.
