Well it worked for alot of other sites, so im sure this is not going to stop. Why do we have to be in some kind of business to get pro? I just happen to have stock in EA or I would have nothing to help me sign up. I left showbizdata.com and billboard.com when they changed there content to pay, and hopefully they will not take too much away from here or the same thing will happen with alot of people. I will pay if the price is just a few bucks a month though. Maybe they should just get some better ads if they want more money? I mean most of these ads on here are the internets version of infomercials. Look at the IGN site! They always have top names on there advertisments. I just dont know.

You don't have to be in some kind of business but it is likely that only businesses (in other words people who want the data for financial gain) will be able to afford the subscriptions. We're talking the order of thousands of dollars per year not tens or hundreds.

On the subject of ads - we have had a great partner for the last 12 months with some hugely successful campaigns - on par with what you would expect at sites IGN. This will only continue but doesn't escape the fact that the data collection side of the business isn't viable on ad revenues alone.

Yea, you really have had some high profile ads.  I've even started to notice some Discover Card ads and whatnot.

One thing I have a question about, however, is the advertisements in the forums.  It has gotten to the point where I actually have to mute my computer when browsing forums because I've had as many as 4 advertisements begin automatically playing on a single page.  While I know that you need money from advertisements, with potentially a lot more money coming in, would it be possible to limit the auto play ads to 1 per page with the remaining ads as display ads?  It's just one of those small things that I think would make the experience better as I kind of like listening to music when browsing the internet, but have gotten to where I can no longer do that on the forums here.

Edit: Also, what browser is that you are using?

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
