Because americans are easy to brainwash.

This and Microsoft is a U.S. company.

Funny though as i'm an American (and I wish I wasn't) and I prefer Japanese products.

Then quit whining and GTFO

Things Americans care about

  • Price - 360 cost of entry is lower
  • Games - mostly what their friends are playing, see COD
  • Having fun with friends and having a good time - yeah, that $5 a month for Live isn't going to stop anyone, I spent more than that in a day at the arcade
  • Things fanboys think Americans care about

  • Graphics - nobody gives a shit, see COD and Wii.
  • "Value" - if all your friends play on the 360, playing on PSN for free and watching bluerays isn't going to get them to switch.  Exception: if your friends are on PSN, you have no friends or you are not buying a PS3 to game on
  • Patriotism - if PS3 sold for $100 nobody would give a shit if it came from a dictatorship using starving children working in a sweatshop.
  • Obscure imports/exclusives from Japan - it's America, not otakuland
  • Reliability - MS replaces the RRODs 3 years out, and it's a nonissue at this point.  Most laptops don't last 3 years either, electronics that cheap become mostly disposable.  Simpler machines were bulletproof, my Atari 800/NES probably still works and I have seen Okidata dot matrix printers take tons of abuse and keep on trucking.
  • Pretty much , Ps3 could be 100$ in Americas that it would not match 360 numbers. Xbox is the coool brand these days with Teens , Cod and Halo makes a huge impact and u know KINECT will do huge.

Your on crack if you think a $100 PS3 couldn't outsell a $200 Xbox, no matter what country your in.
