How does joy ride seem like a big addition to the genre lol. Didn't that game start out being free, but then they decided to make you pay for it? Is it the controls that make it special? If it is, I have yet to see it working, but then again, people only post videos of kinect not working. That list is utter rubbish to "hardcore" gamers around the world.

They turned Joyride into a full game, and the Wii proves that "hard core" gamers are a minority. This will be a cash cow for MS.

Regardless of the amount of sales, that does not mean the games will be by any means good. Look at wii play for example. Sucked, but went on to sell millions. I was argueing the quality of the games. Sales do not equal quality.

Ah, but quality does not = fun. Sales are an indication of how fun a game is, and that is the reason games exist. So, quality be damned, money is the end game here.

Sales certainly aren't an indication to how fun a game is anymore than sales of a toy are an indication of what is a 'better' toy.  Sales are a mixture of advertising, hype, consumer interest, right place-right time, etc.  Fun is subjective.  I bought Modern Warfare 2 because of hype, advertising, etc and I absolutely hated it.  Game was very average.

Contrary to your belief, you are in a minority. The average amount of people playoing that game at any given time prove my point. people don't buy a game because it was shoved in their face a million times, they buy it because they believe it will be fun, hype is a measurement of that number. Marketing simply gets the word out there. Me thinks you have a skewed perception of reality in this dept.
