Minecraft is digital crack. It's a slow start, especially when you don't have coal for torches to run mining operations at night, but once you have enough, you start digging into the earth, looking for iron and diamonds. Then, you start building simple structures with the stone you dig out... Before you know it, you've completed a building complex with a reinforced obsidian bunker vault capped by a rooftop farm, direct access to a massive cave network, a ten story tower topped with a glass beacon filled with lava, and a courtyard strewn with so many torches it's safe to walk outside at night.
