Funny how the younger gamers tend to claim that the FF series is okay right now. I guess that when you grow up next to some of the worst games in the series you might think that they're good but only because you don't know or understand what the series was originally about.
While the quality of the ff games varied from 4-9, they were what made and defined Final Fantasy .
And then came FF X. Different game mechanics, no exploration and the beginning of "go from point A to point B" in the series. And those god damned spin-offs. Sure, FF X still had that one redeeming feature: a very nice and engaging story. But 3 games later there's not even that. I don't understand how people can even call THAT GARBAGE in ff 13 a story.
I understand people have different tastes and respect that. But younger gamers have to understand that the ff games created from the ps2 era till now suck balls by the earlier series standards, and badly at that.
Seriously, instead of making a ff7 remake, they should make a ff 6 remake. Now that would be something worth buying.
