Just consider the size of Japan, then the size of the West (by West I assume you mean, NA, Europe, Australia and NZ).

I'm considering... but production prices are the same - or at least are somewhat similar - everywhere.
it's not like those games will get more sales when (and if) they're released in the west.
I mean, xenoblade will sell 120k in japan... if it comes to the west some 30 k more or something... and people is calling those sales good when games like prince of persia are hyperflops.

Uh...yeah...there's no way Xenoblade would only sell 30k if it comes to the West. That's only for the smallest of the small.

How much do you expect?
Even if it goes to 200k (or 250, even 300k) it's still a flop number for west games.
