Actually, if the PS4 has a 4x Blu-ray drive it will make load times very short, as it will be faster than a 12x DVD drive. Blu-ray drives also read at a constant speed, unlike DVD drives. If the PS4 has a 6x drive, I'm going to imagine you can pretty much just kiss load times goodbye.

Don't worry, not everyone ignores posts that are contrary to what they want to believe. 
Also, to time the game by how long it takes form the XMB to a single race is kinda weird. If you actually timed how long it takes any game from XMB to the first race/level, I think 3 1/2 mins is actually the norm, if not better than average.
