Ok, In this thread we are going to talk about our top ten favorite games.  List them out and explain what it is about these games that makes them so great.  Hopefully we will be able to share some unique titles and get some more excitement around our favorite games.  I will go ahead and go first

10: Mass Effect:  One of the greatest games this gen.  It's blend of shooting and RPG elements combined with a killer story makes it a must own for anybody with a 360 or pc

9: Shining Force:  It's the game that got me into gaming.  One of the greatest series of all time and sadly little known outside of the online gaming forums.

8: Hotel Dusk:  Unique game that unfold much like a mystery novel.  I really wish their were more games like this.  Interactive novels are incredible.

7: Indigo Prophecy:  Awesome game that plays much like an interactive movie.  Made by the same people that are making the upcoming heavy rain. (of which I am eagerly awaiting)

6: Metal Gear Solid 4:  The end of the metal gear solid saga was amazing.  The cutscenes and story gave me everything I wanted and more.

5: Final Fantasy 7: The story and the villain... so great, but so much has been said about this game I don't know what I can add.

4: Jade Empire:  Beautiful game with an awesome story and a twist I never saw happening.  Bioware is my love.

3: Crono Trigger: Ah crono trigger, completely changed how I thought of RPG's.  How you can manipulate the different time periods through your actions still gives me the warm fuzzies.

2: Shining Force 3:  I hate to give this game the number 2 spot, but seeing how I have only played the first scenario (they only released the first in america) I can't give it the top spot.  To this day, it is the best SRPG ever made and maybe someday sega will get off their butts and finish porting it over here. (like downloadable content or something would be perfect)

1: Suikoden 2:  This is my gem.  No game has ever had such a meaninful story as this.  The characters interactions are a joy.  The gameplay is top notch.  And then there is Jowy... His actions make perfect sense, but yet you have to oppose them.  There isn't any clear right or wrong path, but yet their is a war being fought.  The moral ambiguity drives this up to my top spot.

Well, there ya go, there's my list.  As you can probably tell I enjoy RPG's a lot, or at least cherish them more than my other games.  So what are your top 10?
