This is what we would call cherry picking. You pick a random icon versus Mario in a random amount of numbers. Kinda like the guy above did whilst handsomely leaving out the GBA. Why didn't you chose Snake for instance? Or Krato Why didn't you take 2 generations instead of one? |
I didn't because Crash Bandicoot is THE ONLY mascot Sony has ever had, why would I use the 6th generation Crash Games if they weren't developed/published by Sony? And why would I choose Snake if the character was never exclusive to Sony.
And okay, don't leave any number, compare the 5 Sony's Crash Bandicoot games with 5 Nintendo's Mario games on the 5th generation of gaming, and you can see that Crash is the top seller. Now of you are asking me why only on 5th generation, because Crash Bandicoot was a Sony IP at that time, and Sony used Crash Bandicoot in almost everywhere possible when they were advertising the system, so you could call Crash Bandicoot a mascot, but you can't say the same to Snake or Kratos.
Now, if you are going to tell me that we should compare all Crash games versus all Mario games of 5th generation, then yes, we should, and Mario would win in that case. But have I have ever claimed that Crash was/is more popular than Mario? I don't think I did.
