It is a far better mechanism than dual analog, which is terrible. I prefer PC mouse/keybord myself, but I've been playing FPS games only since 1992.
Also, which should be careful which games we refer to as "HD games" since Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 are among those games which aren't HD.
