@twestern, i've retracted, but i stick by what i said about never wanting motion controls... i've been gaming since many around here were just a wet stain on the sheets. i first played pong when i was 3 and you were -1. i absolutely adored super paper mario, just some good ole 2D gaming, but felt the remote features unnecessary. feel free to enjoy your Wii, i don't have a problem with that but Sony is REALLY pissing me off.... maybe i'll trade it for a 360... well, after i play MGS4, hehe..

True and that is worth its own uber-geek merits in its own way, but (and this is more adressed towards the issue than you personally vizunary) just because you've been invested in gaming longer than a said individual doesn't make your opinion or understanding of gaming anymore valid, accurate or cultured, it just means you have an chronological head start. The video game market has been a medium of constant change and overhaul, its not a sytstem by which experience points in wisdom are earned  relative to the length of your exposure. Everyone knows what they like and what they don't like regardless their reasons, and no one should ever use the length in which they've been invested in gaming as justification for anything of any real conviction or merit.

Besides, it's a no win to use this logic. If you claim PS3 owners are largely vet gamers who know what real gaming is then a person can just assume from the perspective of the Ps3's mediocre failure that you're just a bunch of lapsed gamers who've failed to adapt and have been hindered by the years or relying on periodic trends in gaming instead of gaming itself to define how one should enjoy it. If you claim Ps3 owners are younger fresh gamers with a new perspective on gaming, then you give free liscence to anyone to paint a picture of a bunch of teenage kids who want immediate gratification from a graphix box that makes pretty pictures, big explosions and the occasional big boobies.
