Ok,Shooters were never capable of this current level of detail and complexity in the past. And we can see it right now anyway, shooters are a very slowly dying breed.

Platformers were perfected for their 2d origins in the eighties clearly but to say that theyre not popular is really inaccurate i think. Sony would not be risking it otherwise

Now the question is whether MS and Sony made the mistake of over complicating the 'platformer' last month. Personally the more MM9's they do the better.

Im psyched for DK GC4W. Another 2d platformer to teach some lessons.
