I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "Silver" (Rival character from 2nd generation Pokemon games)... The guy is just so deliciously screwed up in the head... Plus, he's the only character in that series of games that had any character depth at all...
If you made the case for any of the characters from Diamond/Pearl then congratulations: you have rocks for brains. Let me tick them off for you...
Barry: ADHD case. Nothing more about him, except his dad...
Professor Rowan: Creepy, but otherwise just your run of the mill Pokemon Professor.
Assistant (the character whose gender you didn't choose) : Pain in the neck.
Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars: Zealots, every one of them.
Cyrus: Mental for the sake of psychosis. No real value to his character.
Cynthia: Barely passable as a plot device. (/begin_spoiler) Decent challenge as league Champion, though... (/end_spoiler)
And those are just the recurring "characters" you meet in the initial arc...
Single player campaigns shouldn't be this lacking in the story department...
Pokemon GS got the story just right; they just haven't gotten it right since...
