Well actually... come to think of it.  That's about the actual population of the US.  Though you would rather live in france.

Either by some kind of centralized planning or completely at random to be fair. 

And keeping all members of one country would be unfair, although that would at least offer the benefit of everyone speaking the same language.  Although I would consider it to be a huge loss if every other language and culture was eradicated.  The world would be a boring ass place if there were only one predominant culture.

Yeah... though one culture breeds unity.  With too many cultures you wind up getting "clans and alliances"... and that may screw up the new very very much smaller and more fragile population... then again that makes the US a kinda crappy choice anyway since it itself is

Centralized planning and picking is a rather hard task, since there is no real good way to do it... IQ wouldn't work... and other then that i wouldn't even know where to begin... one thing for sure though... you and I would both have about zero chance of hitting that list.

So i suggest we be part of said planning committee.
