The problem is the "Has no futher plans to bring first party games to other platforms" statement from a few days ago.

If they want to go 3rd party just be truthfull and admit it, which seemingly this "our future goal is gamepass on all platforms" kinda is.
You know the only reason they re trying not to say that, currently is because they wish to sell you a Xbox Two, as a place to play Xbox exclusives.

Imagine if mid gen, the PS5 gets gamepass?
At that point, was the purpose of owning a xbox two?

Your first paragraph is a near term strategy.  Mean at this point in time, there isn't any other first party games they see going to another platform.  That can easily change with any new game or content depending on their strategy.

If MS wants to go 3rd party, they will let everyone know when they are ready.  It would be silly to pronounce a third party strategy if you do not have all the tools, marketing, software, partnerships etc in place first.  Why would a business even make such a statement until they have everything lined up first.  Also, who says they are going a 3rd party strategy.  MS could easily just have XCloud be on everything besides PS system.  The full details probably isn't even close to being a reality any time soon so why don't we sit back and relax.

I am sure MS would want XCloud be something like Netflix, where you cannot purchase any media device without having the option of it already installed and ready to stream games.  That is probably not going to happen in the next gen or if it does it probably will be late but who knows.  Things can change.

Thats the thing.... are the breadcrums currently leading that way?
We know theres gonna be a Xbox Two, but do you believe MS will make a Xbox Three ? or will they have gone 3rd by that time?

And does knowing thats where MS wants to head... make you want to buy into the xbox hardware side of things any less?
Imagine they actually do manage to get gamepass to PS5, and Switch (via streaming)...  I'd feels bad about haveing bought the hardware, if I knew there was a competitive product, that had exclusives along with everything else you had.

Also at this point, even if Xbox gave a clear definitive answear, saying otherwise.... would you trust that?
I feel like their messaging and stuff turning out, differntly than they say happends too often.  Like Where was the VR for xbox one X? the occulus rift + vive support? and the VR games? They said that would be there, and a year lateron its just "sorry, we re not doing that".

At this point in time, theres enough breadcrums that if I was a xbox fan, I'd be worried about its future.
