http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=18548814&postcount=3

So it's:

PSP 3000+Go - 46,000

DSi+DSL- 35,280

And PS3 > Wii? Looks like Sony has a grip on Japan right now.

Almost...

It's actually:

PSP 3000+Go - 46,600

DSi+DSL - 35,800

Be patient Ail. Media Create and Famitsu showed opposite results last week - MC had Wii up to 32k Famitsu had it at 24k. One was up 3k, the other down 3k. Famitsu covers more Gamestop like specialist retailers than Media Create does, while MC has more big box retailers for "ordinary shoppers" which is why you have MC 30% higher than Famitsu last week.

Well Famitsu numbers this week are lower than last week Famitsu's numbers.

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Although last week MC had WII number higher than FAMI, its PS3 number was also quite higher than FAMI.

I thought the Go might run along at about 1/2 PSP3000 sales and be all right in Japan. But if this is where it's headed then it looks like the Go might be an abortive first attempt at a DLC only piece of gaming hardware. The one thing that might allow the Go to stick things out for a while is that it uses the same software as the PSP3000.

PS3 looking pretty golden for now. Though a pretty big drop being right at the low end of the preview. It'll need to hold steady at least next week to carry decent momentum for the rest of the year, leading up to FF XIII.

360 gets a wee lift of it's own. Will it see a >15K week this holidays? It got one >15K week in 2008. But it's been selling lower compared to last year.

DS market holding out for the LL?

Media Create also had PS3 higher than in Famitsu. Software sales were also a lot lower.

It switches week in, week out, and it usually evens out by the end of the year.

3D Dot Game Heroes out of the top 30 already? Shameful.

PS3 will most likely also be on top at Media Create. However according to Famitsu PS3 is down 10k from last week which is quite a big fall (even if somewhat expected since last week saw a softwarepush from World Soccer). My guess is Wii is flat this week overall but will start to grow this forthcoming weeks thanks to a seasonal surge in sales (those are usually very good for Nintendosystems) and compelling software releases. Next week is Taiko 2 I believe. It will be interesting to see what that one does (and if it could have a slight effect on hardware sales).

DS may seem low now but will get a big lift next week thanks to the DSi LL. Reports are suggesting that it will do 100k or so the first week. After that it´s anyones guess how it will hold up but it will surely easily outperform PSPgo anyway.

It bears repeating what a monster Tomodachi Collection is saleswise. This title has outlived titles like Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus (and those has still had good legs, better than most other games). I just wonder what Tomodachi will reach in the end.

Inazuma Eleven 2. Could this be Level 5´s first millionseller in Japan? I thought it was impossible at first. I actually thought Level 5 were crazy with expecting the game to sell 800k. I now think 800k is a done deal with the legs the game is having and the forthcoming holidaypush which should be good for games with legs like these. But the question is, could it reach the million? What do you think?

I think that the first professor Layton has 1 million copies in japan alone. So, inazuma 11 won't be the first. I think that is a little difficult to reach to 1 million sales, but possible.
