Same here. Those guys are nothing but geniouses. The soundtracks - breathtaking. The stories - compelling. The characters - unbelievable. It represents everything an RPG is suppose to be.
The great thing about it is that you name your main character (except for Raidou), and you can relate to him. The choice is yours. You decide what to do or what to say, just like what you'll do in real life. When the main character makes a friend, you feel like you made a friend. When your character gets a girlfriend, you feel like she's yours, and you want to snuggle with her. When someone hates your main character, you want to kick his ass. When a main character's friend dies, you feel emotional. Epic stuff.
