I wouldn't yet be calling out the supply meeting demand, since it was the exact same a year ago. Just when it looked like supply would meet demand during summer, the autumn started to get closer and demand went up again.
Although, now we are dealing with 500k/month bigger production capasity than last year, but also the area where Wii is available is larger; South-Korea had a launch at spring and China is still supposed to have the Wii release this year.

Yeah, it's about time to pwn the ebay and amazon sellers for selling it for such a high price.

And while Ninty is at it, let's do the same with MK Wii, I'm not gonna pay seventy bucks (or more!) for a game with an MSRP of 50 bucks, that just came out three months ago, and 150k or so people a week are buying.

The reselling market is messed up.

Either way, not being supply constrained doesn't mean the sales suddenly disappear.

I could see it happening.

I have seen more Wii's in the wild in the last few months than all of the previous 15 months before that.

However, by October Wii will be constantly >1m/week WW and Ebay prices will be back to >$350 and then ~$500 again as xmas approaches.
