Get GH: World Tour for either system. Put it in the living room.

It has more drums.

And lets you create and save and download new user-created songs forever.

And the Wii version will have DLC. Just a few months away.

The drums that come with GH:WT may not be a true electic drum set, but they have added a MIDI port to the drum set which will support any electric drums with MIDI.

Edit: I should add that this link states that Rock Band drums will work with GH:WT, I expect that should include the $300 Ion drums your link talks about.

This does not come with RB2, you now that right?

I've been saying for months now if you want to get a music rythym game for the Wii you need to be getting GH: WT.  There are a couple of reasons for this.

First of all RB1 is crap, absolutely do not get it..ok its not really crap but compared to the real RB1 experience it is lacking severely.  Both RB2 and GH:WT will be much better.

RB2 (November 18th) comes out after World Tour (October 26th).

World Tour has been confirmed to support DLC and online play, RB2 has not although they haven't ruled it out.

World Tour allows you to create custom music, clothers, characters, bands, albums, album covers, tatoos, instruments, logos, etc...etc... RB2 has some of these but is lacking the most important one..the ability to create your own music.

More importantly than the music creator is the community aspect, all of the user created content will be available for free download by the community where you can play and rate the song.  You can search for songs by genre, popularity, most recent, artist, etc.. just like you would expect from an online music store.

I just added a bunch more to that post FYI, and yes you can buy it for $300..and AFAIK it works for WT as well.  Because it is an actual drum set it should connect right into the midi port on the WT drums.

Also you can do some things with the WT drum set like grabbing a splitter and adding a second kick pedal for double bass kick.
