Well, he does have a point, but many kids are mature enough to get this game. Most people in my year at school will get the game at some point, though most are waiting until after the major exams coming in the next few weeks (I am not) because they appriechiate that these exams do come before GTA

@Munkeh: Stating parents are ultimately responsible for what their kids are playing also includes parents accepting their kids playing the game when they are mature enough for it.

It sucks that I violently appose his political views, because the more I hear from him, the more I like him.

He is a class act, and one of the few people ruing for office that has a good enough character to deserve it.

Just a question about the rating system in the US, are retailers prohibited from selling mature games to people under 17?

I don't think so , but most stores make you have an adult, some don't really care. I don't think their is a law against it though.

yea there actually is a law to get those games u have to be 17 and over if not then u cant get it if they do sell u the game they can get a 10000 fine but where i go to it is just a small store in the hood and he sells me anything

It is simply trusting them to differentiate between the virtual world and the real world

This is no reason to fall in love with a man who is friendly with terrorists... Sheesh its a cult of personality...

edit: but this is a good thing that he understands. It is the parents who need to take responsibility... but we are talking about the Baby Boomer Generation here... the most selfish generation America has ever seen.

now tat part i would like to hear about but i dont want this to get ugly so you can pm me if you want

A politician realized it wasn't the game, but the people who 'em play the game?

*checks off a sign of the apocalypse*

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

It seems like someone can comprehend the idea that parents are the ones that have to stop their kids from playing these games. And anyone who uses the word "goo-gobs" is fine with me. He says the game is adult but puts the heat on parents instead of the game. Cool.

He's too honest to be president.  I'm not even sure how he got elected to congress.  Hillary knows this too... she just knows that by saying the opposite she can get easy support.

I don't think this qualifies him to be president, nor does the lack of comments prove the others are not qualified.

And no, neither McCain, nor Hillary, are going to try to ban gaming, even on the level of selling M games to minors. It turned out to be an irrelevant voting issue, and too many judges have proven it constitutional anyway.

So if you support this guy, please give a real reason, preferably about his leadership.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
