No. 17. Death Stranding 2. 118 hours. Game 10/10. Difficulty 3/10. Overall Plat rating 10/10.
My backs been fucked, immobilised completely so it's been nothing but DS2 for three days, like 12 hours a day and I could not stop playing it and I don't think I wanted to either. I want to say I loved every second but like the first it is indescribable what the pull is here is after you've build all the infrastructure you need and spend 30 hours maxing out all facilities, I just know it's very strong, soothing and enjoyable, it's not exactly fun but something closely resembling fun. Perhaps it's only for certain personalities, idk but here they kinda break the DS1's super zen, delivery after delivery and add in some variety with recoveries, infiltrations and main story like missions for certain NPCs aling the way, you have to think more in this one and switch up traversal methods a lot more.
There's a really cool order they tried their best to make sure was the last one and almost succeeded (for me, it'll probably be Last for most people) and it's a perfect end to that loop. I love how right up till the end you still need to be thinking about the most basic of tools. Incredibly designed world, so finely tuned that everytime I thought I should be able to go somewhere in my current traversal method I was almost always right.
10/10 but the main story lacks masterpiece level. There was a lot more in the post game than I was expecting though and it's def a stronger 10 if you're going for the platinum.
