Can anyone recommend a really fun, relatively short but not too short Platinum? Something in the range of 6-12 hours. Something with a gameplay focused genre. Doesn't have to have a good story, just good engaging gameplay. I just had to but a shit ton of paint and my gaming budget has already surpassed what it should be gor the month, I want something to chew through while I'm still playing Khazan and Unicorn Overlord for 100%, I have Scars Above installed but it's just not sticky.

🤨🧐…. 🤓 I understand the assignment

1. Viewfinder - Perception based puzzling with an overarching story that’s fairly interesting. 6hrs minimum.

2. Caravan Sandwich - Small open world with secrets and side questing with a focus on pushing the story forward. One of my favourite indie games I’ve played this gen. Super peaceful and a rewarding gameplay loop. Around 6hrs.

3. Selfloss - Small story focused indie with heavy Slavic inspiration. Around 8hrs.

4. Wanderstop - Charming cozy about making tea and really slowing down and finding a sense of purpose. Creator of the Stanly Parable. Real nice gameplay loop. 10hrs.

5. Cosmic Star Heroine - Western JRPG inspired indie that’s one of the best in the genre. 10-12hrs.

Can anyone vouch for Awaken: Astral Blade at 14 euro sale? I see Dungeons of Hinterburh there too but that's a longer affair it seems. Turbo Overkill is also stretching it at 25 hours, which I own and I have a game called Iron Meat too for some reason but I don't trust it cause of higher difficulty trophies and I want something fairly manageable.

Final Fantasy 1. Very smooth, non stressful plat.

Thanks folks. I'll look into to them.

You know, even tho Indiana Jones ATGC is a 30-35hr plat this second playthrough feels like it’s taken so long …. Doesn’t help I’ve fallen back into Stardew Valley .. again, that I just hit 700hrs combined across platform in .. 😅

Well. Got to the second last boss in Khazan on normal NG+ and the difficulty spike apparent.

Platinum no. 13 The First Berkserker: Khazan at 104 hours. 9/10. Difficulty 8/10. Overall Plat rating 9/10.

It was a great Platinum if asking a bit much. The game is just fantastic, it's not every day I'd go over 30 hours out of my way to get a plat but I enjoyed this right up until the end. Difficulty is rated 8/10 because that initial playthrough, even on easy is absurd but it would definetly be a 10/10 if attempting to do it in one playthrough for the normal mode trophy and a three phase last boss fight and not having all the skill tree options of NG+ to ease things, still those fights were lasting 15 minutes and one boss 25 minutes. I'm a little less so but still kinda surprised 8% of people have this plat, less so cause the Normal mode trophy on NG+ is a lot easier than expected because the boss patterns are learned in the first run and you can save up all secondary healing items to help with that three phase boss battle at the end but it's also a really long process to get through the game that second time and do all the collectibles and what not.

@VersusEvil Thanks for pumping me up to tackle that one, it was very enjoyable.

Son of a whore. I'm most certainly at the end of Another Crabs treaure, I gotta be close to the final boss cause I'm hitting a point of no return and looking over the trophies a fucking two phase boss on the final level with two trophies only popped for his first trophy. Well, that's that one ruined so there's zero point going bavk and claining up what I missed, there's no way I'm playing through the full game again for that damn trophy so there goes my Platinum streak stuck at 11. I don't have to finish the game technically or I could run trhough the game with the one shot assist gun but fuck that, it's not exactly designed to be speed ran.

😃 I'm proud o' me too.

I will not Platinum Another Crabs Treasure. I will not Platinum another Crabs Treaure. I will NOT PLATINUM ANOTHER CRABS TREASURE.

Darn it, logged on to clean up a few side things with the assists gun and the boss was there, I might Platinum Another Crabs Treasure. 😞

Platinum No. 14 for 2025. Another Crabs Treaure at just short of 20 hours. 6/10 game, 0-5/10 difficulty depending on assists. Overall 4/10 Platinum.

Not much to say about this, I'll just say to anyone who is going to try it use the assists and don't feel lesser for it, I realised too late that this game is not satisfying enough to warrant Souls likeness and platforming is frustrating sometimes so turn off fall damage and if no other assits make sure you use the shell durability assist cause stopping mid boss fight, releasing lock on and cuttling to grab a shell half a dozen times in a fight is ridiculously poor design, headache inducing. Assists are why I have a range of difficulty, all assists and the game is God mode, no assists and the game is pretty hard, parrys are risk reward and counter attack often misses the target, things are to clumsy when fighting groups of mobs or bosses. 0 difficulty with assists and 5/10 difficulty if not, the last three bosses are actually quite difficult but still not satisfying.

That said it is a fun little, puzzle Platformer under those conditions, it's best at level design and progression. Clean up was super easy, there's an assist to put a gun on the Crabs back that one shots everything so the side bosses I had left and exploring for collectibles was a breeze. I can't complain, platinumed it to keep my streak going. I'm kinda satisfied with it, it's "free" on PS Extra and I got a fairly decent 20 hours out of it.
