Numbers updated and adjusted with WEEK 19, 20, 21 and 22 for every comparison! All charts are updated too!

  • XBOX Series and Switch continue to be very close in US.
  • Switch starts to trail behind the PSP as it lost some more ground in the weeks of May, hovering around 150k per week.
  • PS5 continue to maintain the difference with the 19M year of NSW, with almost 1M above, but trailing decently behind the 24M year of NSW.
  • XBOX Series continue to trail behind the 4M base line of the XB1's 2020 year with almost 600k up to that point in the year.

Predicting 17m for ps5 this year. Clear slowdown in all of industry. No good games for ps5 coming out this year. And potential q4 switch 2 release. Plus Sony acknowledging ps5 has already peaked and is on the downslope of the bell curve.

So just under the 18mil projection they have.

edit:  annnd I just realized this is for calendar year not fiscal year ending in March.   PS5 had a really strong q1 to the year. I am changing my prediction to 19m. Switch has a very steep upswing in the holiday season the year ps5 is comparing. I don’t think ps5 sells 9m in Nov+dec. 7.5-8 is totally doable though.
all depends on if switch releases a new sku and price cuts. Could drop ps5s holiday sales even more.

Numbers updated and adjusted with WEEK 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 for every comparison!

All charts are updated and adjusted too!

Based on the latest data and adjustments the following conclusions can be made:

  • XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

Because of the adjustments XBSX is now almost on par with NSW as it can be seen from the chart, since the XBSX US numbers were adjusted up.

  • Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

This battle got heated. As it can be seen it's neck in neck battle between the three.

  • PlayStation 5 vs NSW'19 (19.3M)

Since PS5 is a lot below the 24M year of the NSW, the NSW'21 was removed from the comparison.

  • XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

Based on the new adjusted data, XBSX is back on course to battle XB1'20 year, and now the chances to finish closer to XB360'13 are slightly bigger.

Also keep in mind that all of the charts are updated with the latest week of June, not the latest one we have data for, since that week is actually July 1st week (ending in July 6th) and that one alongside the others will be within the August update of the charts.

Based on the latest data and adjustments the following conclusions can be made:

  • XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

The Xbox Series pulled ahead from the Switch in July and is now in front with almost 100k.

  • Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

The heated battle continues, as PSP and the DS are on par and Switch is following them closely trailing only 200k behind!

  • PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch'19 (19.3M)

After the latest adjustments the PS5 lead shrank to just 500k and with Switch's stronger weeks to come just after August, it will be hard to maintain it.

  • XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

With the latest adjustments up for the previous months and the better than usual sales for the Xbox in July it is back on track to beat the XB1's 2020 year, and it's closing on the 360'2013 year too.

Based on the latest data and adjustments the following conclusions can be made:

  • XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

The Xbox Series continues the lead over the Switch in August and is now ahead with more 100k.

  • Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

All three competitor are on almost equal to this point in the respective year.

  • PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch'19 (19.3M)

PS5 lead grew to over 800k over the Switch'19, however the next months will be tough for the PS5, as Switch is getting in big boost mode, it's strongest holiday.

  • XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

XBOX Series closing in on XB1'20 year, with just 100k left to reach it.

Numbers updated and adjusted with WEEK 36, 37, 38, 39 and 40 for every comparison!

All charts are updated and adjusted too! You can vote on the poll too.

Based on the latest data and adjustments the following conclusions can be made:

  • XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

The Xbox Series continues the lead over the Switch in September, although Switch shrink the lead a bit.

  • Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

PSP rockets ahead to almost 1M lead over the NSW, but the DS falls behind by little over 100k. With the lead it made and the numbers going ahead of the PSP it seems like 12M is out of the cards for the NSW.

  • PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch'19 (19.3M)

With the launch of the Switch Lite, NSW boost ahead and is now leading by almost 100k from more than 800k deficit before that. With the numbers going ahead of the Switch, it seems 19M is out of the question for PS5.

  • XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

XBOX Series almost reaching the XB1 with only 50k more to go, while trailing behind the 360 with ~500k.

Numbers updated and adjusted with WEEK 41, 42, 43 and 44 for every comparison!

All charts are updated and adjusted too! You can vote on the poll too.

Based on the latest data and adjustments the following conclusions can be made:

  • XBOX Series 2024 vs Nintendo Switch 2024 in USA

With the adjustments, the XBSX is neck in neck with the Switch than ever before with just 3k difference

  • Nintendo Switch vs DS'11 (9.4M) vs PSP'07 (12.8M)

NSW remains well ahead of the DS at the same point in time for 2011, but it falls behind decently from the PSP in 2007.

  • PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch'19 (19.3M)

With the adjusted figures PS5 is now back on track for the 19M if the holidays are decent. It's still ahead of the NSW, even though the Lite launched at this time in the year 2019 and the boost was already there. Can the PS5 keep the advantage going into the holidays ?

  • XBOX Series vs XB360'13 (6.3M) vs XB1'20 (4M)

XBOX Series finally passed the XB1'2020 barely, and will probably remains ahead in the holidays, since the XB1 barely boosted in the end of the year.
