Because here the comparison is with the holidays lining up, and in the articles it is not made to line up, but just whatever month's after release is. So on the article the month that is corresponding to july 2023 for the DS is March 2011, And here the month is the same as Switch's one - July (2011).

Ok. I can understand now. Thanx for answer ;)

This! Just different approaches with how we set up the comparisons.

This is what make them interesting and unique, despite them being the same.

All numbers have been adjusted and updated with the month of August!

All charts have been adjusted and updated with the month of August!

Charts have been updated to glorious 3K resolution! (I tried 4 and even 6K, however they become more than 500KB and the site doesn't allow it)

3K! wooh wooh

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

All numbers have been updated with the month of September!

XB360 and XBSX lifetime numbers were slightly adjusted!

This post was about the charts of the NSW vs the PS2 and the DS in US. Whoever is interested in those can see them in the updated post alongside other comparisons below.

Great thread.
Unless we see a sudden "cliff" even if Switch is tracking behind of DS I do see it passing it, but even if the difference is small I don't think it will manage the extra mile to pass PS2.
