What 3rd party if big chunk skipping Switch?

Well

My hope is that nintendo's next console is capable of running unreal engine 5 so the system can potentially get games like kingdom hearts 4, and if the system is as powerful as a steam deck/ps4 it would be bice to get final fantasy 7 remake, monster hunter world 2 dragon quest 12 as well as other games by sega, from software (if Sony hasn't bought them) level 5 ect

If the switch 2 can get the same amount of sucess as the switch and can run next gen games, we can put an end to the "games are skipping the switch because the system can't handle it" which will get more 3rd party games on the system that would otherwise miss it, thus increasing sales

The Switch runs Unreal Engine 5, it's literally in Epic's FAQ.

Dragon Quest 12 is not skipping the Switch. Either they're making it for Switch first then porting to other platforms or they will pull a DQ11 3DS and just come out with a unique version just for Switch. Like, DQ11 was originally supposed to be PS4 only, but because the 3DS was the best selling platform they made the decision to have a 3DS version. The biggest market for DQ is Japan, so Square Enix would be dumb to skip the most popular platform in the country.

Most of Sega's games are on Switch and are coming to it.

Highly doubt From Software gets bought.

I think you are trolling with the Level 5 one. A lot of their games have been on Nintendo platforms since the DS and some are exclusive to Nintendo.

Nice to see XBOX progress in the japan region!
PS5 is doing I think weaker than PS4 at the time.

Switch is doing good for 6th year on the market but I don't see it doing more than 4-4.5M for the year in japan. We are 3 months into the year and it has already been left behind by 500k last year's numbers which were 5.5M. I see it making around 30M LT in japan finishing close to to Gameboy and DS total LT sales, but not over them. maybe around 2M short.

Looking at one thing isn’t always the best idea to come with for the whole picture. Example is NSW 2022 is ahead of 2019 by almost 500k and that year it sold 4.5mil. 2021 had one of the best H1 of all time, in fact NSW sold more Jan-Jun than July-Dec and that was with a new model releasing.

NSW will sell over 4mil. Safe range is 4.3mil-4.5mil imo

No trolling
Maybe just a bad example now that I think of it

I did not know the switch ran UE5, I thought it was UE4, my apologies

Hoping for bigger 3rd party sales on switch
While it has gotten better the graphs show they have gotten lower ever since playstation lost as much interest

This graphs are worrying me too. There is a clear decline in third party sales and the numbers third parties sells on Switch are from enough to cover the absence of Playtation sales.

The Japanese market is heading towards a place where almost all big franchises will be Nintendo franchises. Nintendo games are enjoying evergreen sales with almost every big title, while third parties are struggling to keep their sales going. Japan will soon not only being a Nintendo-only market in terms of Hardware, but a Nintendo monopoly in terms of software as well

These graphs only show physical sales btw. Digital is a significant part of third party sales, especially with so many being only digital. The decline isn't as severe as you guys think.

This is Japan. Except some special cases, most of the time you will only pick physical or never pick it.

So most digital only games don't sell well in Japan? That not the case though. The eshop charts show these games selling strongly.

That's a bit too late to worry about.

Nintendo's first-party software have already accounted for over 40% of the annual total physical software sales for the last four consecutive years.

You mean indie and some AAs? Perhaps, and that's all.
