There are plenty of OLED consoles here in Australia too!!

In the global scheme of things we are a very small market though.

2020 will remain Switch's peak year; the one-two punch of Animal Crossing New Horizons and the pandemic is a force too great to replicate without any similarly seismic events this year. 2021 will be respectively close though, and still an impressively strong year.

Agreed, and I think the argument that last holiday didn't have a big title is moot. Switch was such a popular item last year that sales wouldn't have been affected all that much.

Pretty much. More than anything else though, I think it'll come down to supply; last year there wasn't a semiconductor shortage, this year there is.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

So i guess its a big win for all three then. The Switch continuing to chug along and both XSX and PS5 ahead of the prev gen consoles.

Well, there was for a while. Also does not change the fact I can buy one from Asda. A new one for me, Nintendo fan gets upset when I can buy one, incredible.

Actually, loads of stores have them.

I live in the U.K. and no they don't! i don't know what you hope to achieve by lying, you're only misleading yourself!

Argos.

365games

The Game Collection

Shop4World

Amazon.

You blind son, stop getting upset.

I mean if the SDF is saying there is stock, it must be so. I believe em on their pretty blue eyes. I dont believe the fact its going for almost 500 euro which i proved with actual evidence last week

Sure, it's in stock at Amazon if you want to pay scalpers prices, or Argos, if you can be bothered to search numerous stores to find the possibly 10 or so stores which have a handful in the whole of the U.K. I wouldn't by any stretch call this as being "Easy to find" if i was being totally honest.

Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) White Console - 365games.co.uk

Or perhaps this is the "readily available" you were  talking about? Paying £60 over the odds isn't easy to find, it's called being scalped.

ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF FRIEND CODE:- 5129 1175 1029. MESSAGE ME.
ANDY MURRAY:- GRAND SLAM WINNER!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

The OLED is fully available for 370€ on Amazon Germany. Was previously 470€.
On Amazon UK I only found it for at least £400 from third parties.

13.4 million ps5 consoles had been shipped by September 30. Most of them must have sold out upon launch, so it's odd that it hasn't reached 13 million by October 16.

My prediction in 2021.

SW: 30m

PS5 16m

XBS: 7.5m

I know that for Brazil they are being selled before shipped. Seems like as soon as Sony had inform the stores of how much stock they were going to receive they open pre-orders and sell out in hours, then the consoles take like 1 month to be delivered.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Following adjustments new totals for October 16:

  • NS: 92,842,244 (Same as before)
  • PS5: 13,126,595 (+137,000)
  • XSX|S: 8,120,824 (+175,990)

  • PS4: 116,560,224 (-58,817)
  • XOne: 50,426,811 (-14,000)

Edit:

I've talked with the rest of the team and have adjusted up PS5 some more.

PS5 sales at 13.32m on Oct 16 (+331,000 compared to before adjustments).

PS5 sales are at 12.76m on Oct 2. This puts the gap between sold and shipped at 640K or between 2 and 3 weeks of sales.

Nice to see Xbox Series a little higher than estimated, though ouch at PS4 being even lower than expected.

Overall all were pretty close though, so kudos to the staff for the great work. :)
