Just watched the highlights of the game. Really strange that Rivera didn't go for a field goal at the end of the game to make it a two-score-game. With only two minutes left to play it doesn't make that much of a difference whether you are up 11 or 15 points, it's miracle territory for the other team either way.

Yesterday I was pondering if I shouldn't change my pick to the Seahawks, but then I remembered Carroll's statement about how it has become a mystery for Seattle to score. Indeed, the Seahawks played again like that against the Football Team.

The crazy thing is that the 3-8 Seahawks still have the run-the-table scenario available to them, because they are only 2.5 games behind the seventh seed in the NFC right now. A 9-8 record will most likely be good enough this year. But realistically, the Seahawks stand no chance and are in a shape where they'll have to rebuild next year, perhaps with a new head coach.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Washington's kicker got injured, which is why they had to go for 2pt conversions and 4th downs. Also seems like they rushed Wilson back too early from his broken finger.

Heroes of the week: Angelus, LudicrousSpeed, NobleTeam360, RolStoppable.

A merely decent week for the prediction league as the struggles continue for the fifth consecutive week. 5 of 14 hero picks were successful for a rate of 35.7%, resulting in a slight drop of the season average to 42.2%.

Shaundon's down week costs him only one game in the standings because sethnintendo hardly fared better in week 12. We are now two thirds through the regular season and almost nobody is above the .625 threshold of dignity. But there are still 92 games to play, so plenty of time to reverse the damage that has been caused since week 8.

Looking ahead to week 13, it's surpringly easy on paper. The most interesting games of the week are Chargers vs. Bengals, Football Team vs. Raiders, Broncos vs. Chiefs and Patriots vs. Bills. Plus Miami has a good shot at extending their win streak to 5 after a 1-7 start, in a game that means just as much for their opponents, the Giants.

Cowboys and Saints again on Thursday. Nothing changes from my thoughts the week before, regardless of who starts at QB for the Saints. New Orleans is in free fall and won't get a playoff spot just like the Falcons and Panthers in their division, who are both similarly rubbish with little hope for a good final stretch in a wide open NFC playoff field.
