Switch continues to gain ground on PS4.
11.5 million is one heck of an aligned lead.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

This is also the PS4's last good year. Even if the fabled cliff scenario of 15m in 2022 happened, then Switch would still be selling on par with the PS4 during the sixth year and therefore maintain its lead. And also end up being close to beating the PS4 for good.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I still find it remarkable just how close PS4 + Xbone's total will end up to PS3 + 360. Pretty much just the ratio changed.

It still will be some ~3-5M off.

So that's over. What will we get next? It may be an interesting comparison, if Switch can beat PS4+Vita. That should be achievable, but also pretty close, so it might be an interesting comparison.

Technically the August update would be the last one for this matchup.
