According to an article from gameindustrybiz, the PS5 outsold the Switch in Europe for February by 12%.

Also the PS5, according to NPD, is less than 1% off the unit record for consoles in the US for the first four months.  Dont know if we have the leader (assuming its the PS4) but it should give us a range for the PS5 in the US as well

Yeah but we discussed the matter before, the thing is with the NPD is that they only focus on dollar total, which is "pointless" here cause the PS5 is sold more expensive than the PS4

Um, that's the update.  PS5 Unit sales is less than 1% off the current record for the first 4 months.

so PS5 dollar amount is way above the previous record for dollar sales.

unit sales <1% off current record, basically identical.

I see what you are referencing for the US figures. I'll take a look at our numbers for the US and adjust them if needed when I have the time. Got a link for the Europe sales?

Edit: Taking a look at our PS4 figures for the US for its first 4 months - November 2013 to February 2014 - we are pretty close with PS5.

VGC PS4: 2,634,624

VGC PS5: 2,488,239

NPD has PS4 at 2,514,000-2,540,000 according to what I saw on ResetEra. If the lower number is right we are in line with NPD numbers and if it is the higher number we are about 20,000 low.

Thank you. Though without exact figures it isn't going to get us to have 100% accurate figures, but it should help us.

I see the figures are for France, Benelux, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Nordics, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. So not the entire Europe market, plus two extras.

In those markets, PS5 is 12% ahead of Switch. Overall console sales are up 84% with just under 500,000 total consoles sold in February. Switch sales are up 32% YoY. Not knowing how well Xbox Series X|S or the last-gen consoles did doesn't help.

It's much easier to get sold-through data from weekly and monthly sales trackers like Famitsu and NPD for timeframe comparison.

Also, PS5 sales is a bit lower than ps4 sales worldwide, you know the outcome.
