Probably won't come close to TLoU2.

Horizon sold 10M; this game can do it too.  I doubt TLOU2 reaches 10M

Already near 7 million sold without a price cut and you think it wont reach 10 million?

I look forward to the next update on TLOU2 sales, so that the insane idea that it will drop like a rock will go away. Ghost could certainly have better legs, but TLOU 2 opened with 4m sales, it will be at over 10m by the end of the year.

This could rise like HZD did and TLOU2 could slow down quite a bit yet, I know you don't like to hear it but the casuals have spoken on that one and they hold the true selling power, we are ants compared to them.

TLoU2 is already far ahead of it.

It's already at least 1.6M behind TLoU2 in the 3 days comparision, that's 2/3 of it's own sales number.

GoT certainly won't have the legs of HZD, the market appeal for both games are completely different, sadly.

I'm really happy for it and I hope it sell really well, but I don't see a single reason why it would even enter the ballpark of TLoU2 sales.

The numbers we have are already showing that.

Wait and see then.

The data will show you.

I'm honestly a little surprised it did above Days Gone. Granted, it doesn't sound like much, but still. I shouldn't be, because Playstation exclusives keep breaking records left and right. But Days Gone just seems like it has bigger mainstream appeal. Then again, Days Gone had very good legs, so I suppose it's still possible it outsels GoT in the long run. I won't make a bet on that either way.

Read my other post but yes, this does have the potential to reach HZD numbers with the install base now and the lack of great games this year, it's also a casuals dream. Hit me up in two years and we'll see where it lands.

Lack of great games this year? Are you alright man?

3 major exclusives already.

And why is GoT a casual dream? Last time I checked japanese themed games were sadly a niche product outside of Japan.

Stop letting your own wishes take the best of your judgement.

I was more hyped for GoT than anything else, including TLoU2, as I'm in love with Japan since I was a kid, you probably won't find anyone on this site that likes Nioh more than I do. And I'm loving the game.

That doesn't change anything, tho.

It's ok, bookmark this thread, but you won't need to wait 2 years, just this holidays.

Holy shit, this is recreation of the real Tsushima island, I was sure they'd take liberties but they took the shape and worked within it. I gotta wonder how faithful it is.

It is faithful to japanese made samurai-cinema, but it takes many liberties with the type of combat/weapons/warrior code etc was present during the real invasion. Not sure how faithful they were when recreating the island itself, but going by trailers they have several biomes etc, which might not all exist on a small island.

In the same way Assassins creed is such a big seller, this is being touted as the Ass creed killer in the setting everyone wanted but never got, it has the potential.

And yes, this year has been fairly shit for games so far (my opinion, I've paused FF7r ten hours in) it's been disappointment after disappointment, just because a games production value is high or it's a Sony exclusive doesn't automatically make it a winner. For me, next to Two point hospital, Ghost is the closest to a ten so far with the next in line being Darksiders Genesis at a high 8 and I'm not even sure that counts either cause it was released in 2019 on PC. Doom E, Nioh 2, FF7r (so far), TLOU2 all disappointments to some degree and none of those four getting over an 8 if they manage it, it's very narrowly (in my opinion). Oh and there is TWD S&S for VR but I don't think it counts cause of the PC release, that's an easy 9.

I'll bookmark but it'll be lost amongst all the porn and other reminders ;).

Again, stop letting your own view cloud your judgement of things, it's not because you didn't like the games that they are not great and GoT with thrive on barren lands.

Both FF7 and TLoU2 are selling bonkers, you might only like GoT but that doesn't make 2020 be lacking great games in the slighest, you should really not let that get into your analysis for how GoT will perform.

There is a distinct line between your personal take on those games and reality.

Wanna make a bet that TLOU2 and GoT will settle within 2mil of each other at the one year mark excluding any further re-releases?

I don't make bets (though I did one for fun about the PS5 price).

Also if any has a rerelease it'll directly affect this version sales.
