That score is like my guess! It is my guess!

Looks like I was right as well (94). I finished the game and and I think the first one is better overall. This one is still amazing good though.

Also, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.. or what stupidly overblown controversial element/s there is about it. Its a damn video game. 9.5/10 would be my grade.

OP updated.
The score has now fallen to 94 on Metacritic.
And yup, was right once again, both that 94 looked like a very likely score when people were thinking about a 97.
And specially when I told many years ago and reinterated here, no Sony game would average a 95 this gen.

God of War has a 95% average based on 174 critic reviews accumulated on OpenCritic, so one Sony game did. The Last of Us: Part II is also at 95% on OpenCritic but we'll have to wait and see if it drops once all is said and done.

It crossed the 80k users meta score, a feat that game of thrones season 8 + Pokémon sword/shield + the last Jedi never got really close. In fact those combined made less than half than the total user scores for this game.

I reckon several thousands will be removed once all the hype disappears

Wasn't too far off then, with my 93 prediction. I'm still curious as to how almost all criticism of the game is being tossed into the same, very wide "you're just a bigot" bin, it seems as if the game is either flawless, or pure insipid propaganda depending on who you ask (which I also predicted, to no one's surprise).

A troll campaign it is not (largely) maybe the first day or two yeah but people are genuinely pissed off and some people really love it. I gotta say the user score is closer to what I'd score it if given a five star scale but I think a perfect slice down the middle is most acurate at a 7... ish. It's finding it hard to hold up there from a six and this ending better be worth the drag.

To give it a zero you need to be beyond pissed.

Mostly reactionary towards the first big spoiler and the midgame spoiler from what I'm reading but I suppose that's no different than a review bombing, just a different reasoning.

I agree, but totally disliking the story doesn't make a 9.5 game (even more for big fans) drop to a 0.

Also not related to the game but related to the studio, when is anybody going to make a thread about the statements of Mitch Dyer, ex IGN about the webpage making negative rumours about ND.

Well there is a thread to talk the politics of ND, perhaps you can post there.

Maybe I will, but the non sense especially from people that haven’t play the game is meritorious of an Oscar for the best drama.
