Halo 5 wasn't all bad. I like some of the new gameplay mechanics and the multiplayer might be the best in the franchise. Now the campaign was the biggest issue. The story and level design left a lot to be desired.

I didn't play through it myself as I don't own an Xbone, I just know its reception from fans and critics wasn't as glowing as games like the original 3.

As a big Halo fan I was disappointed with the story in Halo 5, while I really enjoyed the story in the other Xbox One Halo game, Halo Wars 2. From what was shown in the trailers they are going back to an art style closer to the original trilogy and bringing back the famous Halo theme that was missing in the newer games. So I have some hope for the game, but I need to see some gameplay.

PlayStation 4 vs Xbox 360 in the US – VGChartz Gap Charts – April 2020

PS4 Vs. X360 US:

Gap change in latest month: 109,737 – PS4

Gap change over last 12 months: 3,513,078 – X360

Total Lead: 1,238,913 – X360

X360 Total Sales: 34,077,467

PS4 Total Sales: 33,113,899

April 2020 is the 78th month that the PlayStation 4 has been available for in the US. During the latest month, the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 grew in favor of the PlayStation 4 when you align launches. The PlayStation 4 sold 109,737 more units than the Xbox 360. However, in the last 12 months the Xbox 360 has sold 3.51 million more units than the PlayStation 4. The Xbox 360 currently leads by 1.24 million units.

The PlayStation 4 launched in the US on November 15, 2013, while the Xbox 360 launched on November 22, 2005. This does mean the holiday periods between the consoles do lineup.

The 38th month for the PlayStation 4 is April 2020 and for the Xbox 360 it is April 2012.The PlayStation 4 has sold 33.11 million units, while the Xbox 360 sold 34.08 million units during the same timeframe.

The Xbox 360 sold 45.14 million units lifetime in the US. The PlayStation 4 needs to sell another 12.03 million units to surpass the Xbox 360 in the US.

At this point I'm not sure if any system will sell as much as the 360 did in the US again.

Am I right in recalling that the 360 is third only to PS2 and DS there, lifetime?

I'd say the Switch has a shot at it, considering it's leading the PS4 right now in the US.

True, it does have a shot. Still, it's a high bar.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

If it wasn't, then there would be no need to chart it, right?

Xbone making its last stand in its home territory. Switch will win eventually, but it'll take time. Really goes to show that even with the beating Xbox took this generation its still no slouch in the US.

I figured this would be a decent one to do for now. I mean Switch will most definitely end up ahead in the end. Just when?

Yeah I am curious as to how long it will take. Same with Switch taking on PS4 in the US.
