The publisher of the cod seems to be Sony, has this always been the case ?

Capcom, Konami, Spike, Activision, and Square Enix, respectively, have published CoD in Japan. Sony started with BO III in 2015 after SE had been doing it from 2009. Seeing as though Sony were making deals with Activision regarding CoD during the start of the PS4 gen, Sony being the new pub wasn't surprising, especially since BO III was the start of CoD being only on PlayStation in Japan (all previous games were on PS, Xbox, Nintendo). To make things fun, in early 2016, Sony Japan and Asia President Atsushi Morita challenged SE President Yosuke Matsuda to a match of BO III. SE beat Sony badly.

That was a slow day at COMG! with preorders.

Hmmm, I suspect the Switch and PS4 are evenly matched in many 3rd party games. Its fatal frame.

Western games are dying in Japan.

AAA games are dying in Japan since they aren't on the platform where 90% of software sales happen.

Human Fall Flat & Minecraft are doing exceptionally well, and I'm sure the GTA Trilogy will also become a big hit. Expecting one final direct in the coming weeks after which GTA pre-orders will open in Japan.

SMT now at the door to 100 points

They pretty much seem like all the titles available to pre-order that a Japanese gamer would be interested in pre-ordering.

Feels odd to see titles entering the charts with 5 points.

5 points isn't so bad, early this year/late last year we were seeing the "1 point mafia".

How well did previous Iterations of SMT do on COMG?
