Still boggles my mind they went with a PS exclusive Demon Slayer release.

I thought it's also available for XBOX consoles and steam.

Until last gen, this would have practically meant that it's a Playstation exclusive in Japan because neither the PC or the Xbox were selling over there.

But by now, both have picked up steam (the reason why the PC is getting more and more attractive in Japan is mostly because the CERO ratings only apply to consoles, so games can effectively be uncensored on PC compared to their console counterparts. Covid home office just further added some fuel to that fire), so it's not really that exclusive anymore.

But in reality it's still the same this gen. Yeah Xbox has increased a lot in percentage, which gives a nice look when numbers are low. But actual numbers are still bad. Lifetime sales is still about a week of Switch sales. One shouldnt expect Xbox to add much in terms of sales for Demon Slayer.

Yeah, on consoles, it's still similar. My point was more that PC gaming has become much more prevalent in Japan than it was just a couple years ago, and as such a PS, Xbox and PC but no Nintendo version is no longer really an practical exclusive anymore, as the PC takes an increasing amount of sales from the Playstation. Xbox certainly also has probably doubled sales of their versions in Japan (unless the difference is eaten up by the Gamepass), but an increase from practically nothing to almost nothing is still close to nothing.

Somebody switched to Pearl or the Double Pack

And hello again Metroid!

Shin Megami Tensei being on Switch is such a waste...
It deserves better than this.

facts?

Pretty sure the III Remaster sold better on PS4 than on Switch and worldwide SMT V would end up selling better on PS4 and PC than on Switch.

Where are these 'facts'?

I did a quick search and the only decent results I could find both had Switch selling slightly more:

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster sold more on the Switch with 52,481 copies then the PS4, which in turn sold 48,830 copies.

Games Industry reports that 55% of sales were on Nintendo Switch and 45% were on the PlayStation 4

That's false. Also the Shin Megami Tensei franchise has been tied to Nintendo platforms since Strange Journey on the DS in 2009. The Switch is a very healthy platform for JRPGs, like many have already proven by selling very well.

82 points two months out from release is pretty damn good.
It's been overshadowed by Pokémon since preorders opened for those, but once marketing outside Youtube and Twitter kicks in closer to release it should regain some momentum.
