AC Odyssey might be one of my fave Ubisoft games, I never thought I would like series, but I welcome the change. I wonder how they will change the Far Cry and Watch Dogs formula as well. I'm not looking forward to the live service AC stuff though.

So far I'd rank AC > Far Cry > Watch Dogs. Really wish they'd give more love and attention (any attention) to their IPs like Child of Light and Rayman, but I'm not holding my breath.

Also @Ryuu96 did you not want to play New Dawn at all? Kind of expected you to play that

I think one mistake some did with how well Dying light 2 or some other games will do is that many just look at what some American forums with mostly American users are all about. A German forum will be already different to that with more love for certain games and genres and then we have countries like Russia and so on who obviously also like different games more than people in American (or English) forums.

There might be games selling millions which people on Era don't care about much^^

AC Odyssey was legit good, they basically took everything that was good about the already good AC Origins, tossed in some Witcher 3 mechanics (which is tied for my favorite game of all-time), and designed a really good playable female character (so good the actress was nominated for Best Performance at The Game Awards 2018). I've been saddened to hear from many in this thread that AC Valhalla is a downgrade on AC Odyssey. They of course weren't developed by the same team though, Ubisoft had 2-3 AC teams on rotation last I heard, though now all of them have been merged into a single team for developing AC Infinity since it is a GaaS game meant to last the whole generation (much like the similarly named Halo Infinite), which is supported by both big campaign expansions which are effectively like new AC games with new maps, historical settings, and playable characters, and smaller campaign DLC's for each big campaign expansion. Guessing they plan to bring back AC multiplayer as well to support the GaaS model.

I also rank the series AC > Far Cry > Watch Dogs. I also agree that they need to give Child of Light and Rayman attention. I also think they are fools for not releasing a proper sequel to Far Cry Blood Dragon yet, both it and Child of Light supposedly sold really well for Ubisoft considering they were both digital only games releasing into a console market that was still majority physical at the time (2013-2014). And I also think they need to release a 3rd South Park RPG, 4+ years have passed since Fractured But Whole and they have yet to announce a 3rd South Park RPG, I'm starting to worry that they don't have one in development, especially since the studio that developed Fractured But Whole has 2 other games in development currently, Rocksmith+ and Tom Clancy's xDefiant, plus we have rumors that there is a non Ubisoft South Park game in development currently, which suggest that Ubisoft let the license go.

Yeah I loved Kassandra and it is also sad to hear Valhalla is a step down. I would love another South Park game, but last I read I heard it was supposed to be a multiplayer like game? Lame.

Never did. Said before their games have peculiar art style and ideas for example. They just need to improve to really hit the mark gameplay wise. Looking forward to their next game.

And I won't be spending another € on Ubisoft games until they stop with their NFT shit.

Was just looking at the impressive Steam numbers for Dying Light 2 (it costs $60 but already beat F2P Halo Infinite's launch), and noticed just how much further Halo Infinite has fallen since I last looked a few weeks ago. Just 1 month ago to the day it had 58k peak concurrent players, now it has fallen to 28k peak concurrent, 30k more peak concurrent players lost in just 1 month. Soon, Halo Infinite's peak concurrent player count on Steam will be 1/10th what it was on release (25k vs 250k), smh.

I really hate that Xbox and 343 sent it out with only 10 maps and no map DLC on the horizon for soon after release, it's like they learned nothing from Bleeding Edge and just repeated the same mistakes on a larger scale with Halo Infinite. Halo of course is big enough that it has a chance to make a recovery at least unlike Bleeding Edge which was doomed from the start when Xbox sent it without enough content and too small of a DLC team to support it, but it's always harder to win back lost players than it is to keep players that you already have, Halo Infinite could have been so much bigger if they had waited to release it until all of the core SP and MP features were ready and the multiplayer team had like 6 DLC maps ready to go in 2 map packs within just a few months of release. I hate to say it, but it's increasingly looking like Infinite needed at least another 6 months to 1 year in the oven before Xbox sent it out.

Pretty much dead on steam. Dead doesn't mean people not playing it. I mean Overwatch has been dead for 2 years and still thousands playing. Just no hype or excitement. The events are just terrible. The ranked it utter dogshit and make me want to uninstall. So many leavers. Sometimes just at start of game. Yet match is not cancelled.

Also don't even understand how ranked works in this game. Sometimes you get low silver and Diamond 5 in same match. What?

As for what could bring the people back and new people. You guys know better and do much better posts. Just want more qol improvements, so people playing don't quit too.

Yeah I played through Contrast again since it's available on Game Pass and a pretty quick completion.

My opinion on the XBLA version was pretty bad and this version isn't much better. Yeah it doesn't look as awful as the XBLA version and it's not as glitchy but it's still a poor 30 FPS port. Then you have the abysmal jump mechanics in a game where you do a lot of platforming....

They got a nice concept but the execution is just terrible.

We Happy Few was quite a bit better but still plagued with bugs during launch and a randomly generated world that's completely pointless.

Damn Shannon is an Xbox goat. She'll be missed.

Interesting list, anyone you want Xbox to work with?

Nope, AAA or give me death.

Honestly though, haven't heard of most of them.
