How about everyone lists their pile of shame (aka backlog)?
I'm curious to see how many and what top rated games you guys own but have yet to play/finish.

Of course you can list whatever you want but I will focus on AA/AAA releases and some well known indie titles. I will even go as far as adding GamePass games but only those that make me feel bad for not playing them yet (It's a pile of shame after all right?).

https://www.trueachievements.com/gamer/Gerbasgamer/lists/backlog (should be a public list)

Bioshock Infinite Remastered (started it but never continued since newer games came out. Already finished the 360 version)
Blair Witch (started but stopped after only a couple of minutes)
CodeVein (played for about 3-4 hours)
Darksiders Genesis (Finished the first mission/chapter. Is getting removed from GamePass in a few days but I don't think I'm able to finish it in time)
Dead Rising 3 (Played it for about an hour in 2015 and then never again lol. One of the first games I owned for Xbox One)
Dead Rising 4 (just bought that one recently. Not feeling that bad about it....yet)
Dead Space 2 (only played for a few hours)
Destiny (same as above. One of the first games I owned for Xbox One)
Destiny 2 (only played the opening mission)
Dishonored DE (played for around 3 hours. Never finished the 360 version either)
Dishonored 2 (played for around an hour)
Dishonored Death of the Outsider (never started it)
Doom Eternal (just started it recently but only made it through the first level thus far)
F1 2019 (played for like 2 hours)
F1 2020 (recently added to GamePass)
Fallout 4 (this hurts the most. Fallout 3 was my GOTG and yet in only played Fallout 4 for 6 hours)
Forza Horizon 3 (roughly 15 hours in)
Forza Horizon 4 (same as above)
GRID (Bought but never played it, now it's on Game Pass as well...)
Halo Wars 2 (played the tutorial and 2 missions)
Just Cause 3 (roughly 2 hours)
Just Cause 4 (same as above. Currently not workin correctly on Series X. Only runs at base X1 settings)
Mad Max (same as above. Might be an Avalanche thing...)
Metal Gear Solid V (8 hours. Not the biggest fan)
Metro Exodus (played it for almost 3 hours when it was still available on Game Pass. Bought the gold edition and have yet to play it again)
Need For Speed Payback (played for 2 hours)
Need For Speed Heat (played 1 hour)
Outriders (2 hours)
Pillars of Eternity (unplayed)
Pillars of Eternity 2 (unplayed)
Prey (2 hours)
Red Dead Redemption 2 (10 hours. Hoping for FPS Boost)
Resident Evil 2 Remake (bit over 1 hour)
Resident Evil 3 Remake (unplayed)
Resident Evil 7 (1 hour)
Skylanders SWAP Force (played for 2 hours back in 2016. Too lazy to set it up)
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 (1 hour)
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts (unplayed)
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2 hours. Might actually play this one next)
The Evil Within (unplayed. One of the first games I owned for Xbox One)
The Witcher 3 (11 hours. Waiting for next gen version)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (1 mission)
Tom Clancy's The Division (3 hours)
Torment: Tides of Numenera (unplayed)
Trine 1-4 (3 hours combined)
Wasteland 3 (2 hours)
Wolfenstein II (3 hours)

Tons of great games up there but nevertheless I'm satisfied by my progress in decreasing my backlog during the last 12 months.,

Tom Henderson, a well known CoD leaker, is teasing November 5th for CoD.

So...Halo....November 15th at the earliest I'm guessing.

Maybe I should run a poll.

Honestly, if CoD is that early in November, I don't think MS has a good excuse to not release Halo on the anniversary date. 10 days is a big enough gap. Give people a good week and a half to play CoD, realize it's shit, and then go play Halo...for free. CoD and BF launch within like 2 weeks of each other all the time, and both do well, and those games are way more similar than CoD and Halo. So unless Halo is down to the last minute crunch, it needs to come out on the anniversary.

I think I'm overdosing on my meds?

I am not a doctor but will play one today.

The alcohol and other illicit drugs you are mixing with your medications is not a good idea and could be a contributing factor.  Dangerous cocktails are being created that is not only damaging your internals but affecting your mental abilities.

From the time you mentioned you were on new meds, your posting has become more sporadic than what is normal for you.  You've been posting in wrong threads, using more fragmented sentences, and can't seem to stay on topic.

For Example:  This is the Xbox thread, but like Ryuu said, you should speak and be honest with your doctor.

@Mike321 Just like E3 right? Doubt Xbox is getting anything at TGS lol. They were there last year and did nothing but talk. Time to let that dream die.

Persona still happening dou.

....Maybe

Here we go again... smh

Edit: Late Post, hopefully they do announce the rumored Quake Reboot here although I’m worried about the status of Wolfenstein 3.

Two other observations, no Redfall is a bit disappointing, I suppose they're waiting until TGA's in that case and Ghostwire Tokyo still MIA, I am a little worried about what the hell is going on with that game and how long it is going to take for it to even release, I wonder if Ikumi leaving hurt that project more than we know about and I really hope that The Evil Within 2 Director has been working on something else for a while, I'm fairly confident he isn't on the Ghostwire team.

I have a feeling that it’s possible that the game might have been rebooted, it would suck if the game has been delayed much longer because as of right now we are looking at a 2023 release for Xbox.

I like giving Persona fans on Xbox hope. 😏

For real, if it doesn't happen this year, so only 3 events left - Gamescom, X0? and TGAs, then I'll say it's never happening.

At least the Persona fans on Xbox aren't as bad as those Silent Hill/Abandoned conspiracy theorists

Not happening at TGS that's for sure. I think even Gamescom has a better chance to be the place to make such an announcement than TGS IMO. There is one smaller scale (AA tier) Japanese game that I think might get announced anytime soon, because it was already somewhat indirectly confirmed. On the other hand, the 25 anniversary Persona site has a first announcement on September which aligns well with TGS, but I still wouldn't expect that. If Persona 5 gets announced for Xbox it will be at E3 2022. Should be either E3 or X0 (if it's ever happening again tier of event). But, if it doesn't get announced next E3, then I think it would be better to let it die just like @Spade says. It either happening before November 2022 or never.

As for the Japanese exclusives, it ain't happening and it definitely ain't happening in the same amount as 360 had. Even Playstation can't afford that many Japanese exclusives as 360 had these days. When Microsoft and Sony have chosen x86 for PS4 and Xbone, they sacrificed a ton of potential exclusives as a result. No sane developer will go exclusive route without any massive payment from platform maker. And for platform makers, in case of Japanese games, it rarely worth it to pay. So, the current situation is: Xbox is being skipped by devs of small titles because the audience is way too small to worth supporting the platform for the devs (these games still not PS exclusives, as they get released on Switch+PC as well), or Xbox is being skipped when Sony pays for exclusivity (can't really think of anything besides Final Fantasy titles tbh). And Final Fantasy is a huge AAA franchise, probably the biggest Japanese franchise.

So, don't really see how Microsoft will be able to ever get any exclusive content from Japan in our current reality. But IMO, it's not like they really need it. Fixing the first point is all that matters - making Xbox a platform that gets the same content as Switch, PC and Playstation. Exclusives - not really needed. Maybe just to some fan boys to brag about and use it for internet console war ammo, I dunno.

There's definitely a number of excellent games on your list!

Mass Effect: Andromeda and The Evil Within are the only games I bought (on sale) but never even played.

So I don't have much of a backlog but I wish I had more time to play Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, The Division 2 etc and still play new games and revisit some older masterpieces like Witcher 3. I will once they upgrade it of course.

Btw you should check out two Frostpunk expansions. They were released on consoles couple of weeks ago.

oh Surgeon Simulator 2 on Game Pass. Very nice!
Always wanted to play the first game which was on everything but Xbox.
