Lol Sony moneyhatted KOTR

And people here still believe that MS shouldn’t step up? They likely money hatted more games including Bioshock 4, Silent Hill and Street Fighter 6.

All this does is tell me that MS better make the Indiana Jones full game full exclusive.

And they just got another Marvel game as an exclusive. Insomniac is developing a Wolverine game

Yah, that's okay with me ahah :) I have zero interrested in anything Marvel usually (the only exception being this upcoming Guardian of the Galaxy game, because the writing really look good). I'm happy they are spending money on that instead of anything else (Marvel stuff).

When you see all this stuff you realize how games like Minecraft on PS should just end. Sony is trying so hard to f... Xbox and they still get games from Xbox just because "it was already announced" or "it was already on Playstation". Sony's whole mentality the last years seems to be how to hurt the opponent instead of just focusing on their own content (which would be already good enough since they know how to make good games)

There just is no "we are all friends in this industry" if one just doesn't want to and stabs you from behind again and again lol.

Yall really upset over timed deals?

Sony are not worried at all about MS even with the Bethesda deal, literally all of the studios that MS bought for XGS are not going to make their debut until 2023 at the earliest meanwhile Sony are going all out with full momentum on their side.

We now all see that MS buying Bethesda actually saved them because can you imagine if they didn’t and Sony did manage to get Starfield as a timed exclusive? Xbox would have been fucked royally.

What would they have for 2022 if not for Bethesda?

Not because it's a problem for me since I don't even play on Xbox consoles anymore and on PC instead but there is obviously a reason why Sony does it and that mentality is what upsets me (and Phils mentality to still believe this is a nice industry where everyone is friends)

Buying Bethesda was Microsoft investment, like Sony did with those exclusives...

There is no "saving", if not Bethesda, Microsoft would have done something else with that money and invested somewhere else. Stop being so dramatic.
Sony is simply doing the same thing and they are both successful at it lately.

Of course, as I prefer the Xbox ecosystem, it sucks when I am forced to play a game on the Play Station Five (I have both); but Microsoft did not "save" themselves, they just moved forward and invested in stuff, like Sony does.

Yep. Look how many of them Sony has already, 6-7 AAA timed exclusives:

Deathloop

Ghostwire Tokyo

FF7R (which they paid extra to extend by another 6 months, and this deal will likely include future sequels/episodes of the remake as well)

FF16

Forspoken

KOTOR

Bioshock 4 (rumored)

Then you've got the rumored full exclusives, such as:

Silent Hill

Street Fighter 6

The next Remedy new IP

I don't know about you, but waiting a year (or more in some cases) to play a game I want to play is a painful experience. FF7R wait has already been torture, and I have to wait for even more games I want to play, since PS5 Slim is not coming anytime soon.

Well.. :) We have full exclusives :) You need to look from the other angle hehe

Doom, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Prey, Wolfsomething, etc... :) Microsoft also got those exclusives, and they are not timed!

I would love to have FF7 R, F16 and KOTOR on Xbox but this is business, Play Station players won't see any of those big Bethesda games on their platform anymore.

Again, KOTOR stings.

But this 'nice guy' Phil thing is bullshit, again, they acquired an entire publisher, there is nothing nice about that, some of the biggest IPs in Gaming are going to be Xbox exclusive as a result, nobody has made an acquisition close to the scale of Bethesda.

Not sure why y'all are freaking out so much, Sony can have great events too u'know? Xbox had a widely considered great event last E3 and Sony just put on a good show too but I don't think it was big enough to warrant this kind of extreme reaction, there was like 3 major announcements there, KOTOR Remake (which doesn't even have a release date), Spider-Man 2 (Which is 2023) and Wolverine (Which again, no release date, likely even further than 2023).

This attitude is unhealthy, both console manufacturers can do well but it feels like whenever Sony has a good show, Microsoft has to immediately respond, panic swifts over you all for some reason and honestly I feel like some of you won't be happy until Microsoft acquires half the industry and effectively kills Sony, Lol. Chill.

Why would you compare buying another company and making it a part of your company with buying content away from other platforms? Buying another company is absolutely fine as long as you won't get too mighty.

Not sure why this comparison even happens all the time. Yes, these games might not come to PS anymore but you also don't just throw money on someone. You have to care about that studio afterwards. It's a damn part of your company after all then. You don't just think "which developer can I buy to hurt Sony" if you buy one.
